Outreach

Outreach at St. Paul’s happens in many ways.

We participate in programs to give direct emergency aid to people within the parish and the wider North Shore Community.

We support Episcopal Ministries, which assists people on the Diocesan level (all of Long Island).

We participate in Episcopal Relief and Development, which works to support communities in immediate crisis in the United States and around the globe.

On the local level, we participate in Glen Cove’s North Shore Sheltering Program which is the only homeless shelter on the North Shore.

Perhaps most visibly, we host St Paul’s Fellowship Cafe, a monthly program that serves a free, hot meal to 80 plus men, women and children from our community.  Guests also receive a grocery bag filled with fresh food and non-perishable items.  St Paul’s is currently entering its 5th year of this ministry.

We are also participating in the Adopt-A-Family program hosted by St John’s Hospital Auxiliary.  Stop by and take a gingerbread man off the tree for a list of items needed.  Or bring any new, unwrapped toy to donate to the toy drive also hosted by St John’s Hospital.
